Shakti Celebration – Return to the Mother Edition
A FREE gathering for feminine empowerment
Friday 5th October 2019
Attend one session, many or all!
Shakti Celebration is as a celebration of the shift both globally and in the UAE to come together and honour the rise of work around the sacred feminine. Our intention is to build community by creating awareness of the beauty of this work to restore vitality, to empower your potential and to heal us as a collective. We hope this conference will serve as an initiation for the curious into the sacred web!
Our event unites teachers from a broad spectrum of backgrounds in the fields of divine feminine work, those who are working to bring a women’s perspective into yoga and the work of embodied sensuality in conscious dance. As we come together for this event it is a powerful statement that the authentic voice of women is on the rise. Our presenters are passionate about sharing their knowledge of embodying the feminine and reconnecting to our innate power in their own diverse fields.
Hosted by Nilaya House (meaning home), where diverse styles of yoga are honoured and practiced, our own sacred and safe space, this is a statement and invitation for women to honour the presence of the divine within – an earth centered, somatic embodied philosophy.
This conference is open to all women (including pregnant women and women feeding babies in the postnatal stage). We have chosen to make this a women only and photography free space to position it as a safe space for all at this moment in time.
It is FREE and offered with great respect and love.

Presented by: Mel Craven of Mel Craven Yoga
Session name: HuMandala Womb Yoga
The womb space is in each of us regardless of our fertility or physical reality. It is a place of power beauty and creativity. Through the gentle art of Yin and Womb Yoga we can awaken our Yoni Shakti. We can connect our heart space to our womb space and give birth to our greatest passions and desires. By tapping in to the Yin energy we learn to love ourselves as we are. To accept our softness, our rounded edges, our layers of sensitivity and illuminate our shadows with healing love and light. By joining with our sisters in sacred circle we will create beautiful humandalas to feel our divine feminine power and strength in unity.
Mel Craven is a Doula, Yin and Prenatal Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, Women’s Counsellor and Lightworker.
She is on a mission to encourage all those around her to vibrate higher with the healing frequency of love. Love is the answer. As women we intuitively know this and by joining together our divine feminine energy we can create spirals of great change for peace on this earth.
As a Doula and Prenatal Yoga teacher she has the great honor of bearing witness to women transforming their bodies, minds and spirits. Of seeing women’s incredible strength and power. She is a guardian of the sacred birth space and a guide for the birth of the mother.
4:30 – 5:20pm
Presented by: Nada Harb of Elevated Vibrations
Session name: The Mother Wound
Our relationship with our mother is our first relationship with unconditional love and determines our relationship with many aspects of our life. There are two main frequencies love and fear and wherever we vibrate on the spectrum is the exact experience we will have. Our Success, Our prosperity, Our love life, Our relationship with ourselves, Our relationship with others etc In this segment we will dive in and explore and heal through meditation the wounds our inner child carries in order to expand and become sovereign beings of love, power, bliss and harmony.
Nada’s spontaneous awakening arose out of an out-of-body experience at the age of 14 and since then I have been on a journey of healing the inner masculine, inner feminine, inner child, inner parent, inner guide, inner earth in order to fully embody the awakened path and be of service to the community.
Using her intuitive abilities of seeing, hearing, feeling, and direct knowing combined with the studies of the mind, body and soul, as well as her connection to the ascendant masters, she is fully present and have the ability to tune in and hold a space of unconditional love for energetic transformations, body healing, soul awakening, and co creating realities with joy, heart expansion, womb activations, love, wisdom and abundant frequencies.
While working with individuals, couples, children and corporations, she has witnessed amazing miraculous physical, emotional healings’ as well as mind empowering shifts and activations of love within the heart.
5:30 – 6:20
Presented by Lina Nahhas of The Sameness Project
Session Name: 5 Rhythms (Dance) : The Different Faces of Eve
Lina presents 5Rhythms® a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practise rooted in the principle that “if you put your body into motion, the psyche will heal itself”. Through the map of the 5Rhythms and our session together we will explore the creative expressions that manifest from “Mother” feminine, earthly, grounded, receptive, nourishing, embracing, instinctive and fluid energies, all sitting in our practice’s first Rhythm of Flowing. No experience ever necessary; just a moving body and your curiosity. Get ready to move your free spirit.
Lina Nahhas, an Arab-Canadian based in Dubai, was one of the first in bringing 5Rhythms® practise to the region in 2010, and her passion for the practise has led her to Waves® level teacher certification by 2014, weaving teaching into her life whilst running her social innovation work via The Sameness project. Lina writes “The impact that the 5Rhythms® has had in my life, remains magical. There is a richer savouring of the sublime in every thing and every body, through deeper presence. It helps my soul inhabit its freedom and lightness in alignment with body, heart and mind. And in my continuing journey with the 5Rhythms®, I wish to offer others an opening to this energy which nourishes true freedom and reclaims our humanity by healing our hearts and minds and uniting these with body and soul and spirit to walk life in full alignment and ease. My favourite quote from my teacher Gabrielle Roth has always been: Do you have the discipline to be a free spirit”
6:30 – 7:20
Presented by Suzanne Zephyr Blake, accompanied by Leoné Murphey
Session Name: “Mother is Earth” Ceremony and Sound Healing
As we connect to the feminine within, as we honor and respect our mother, so it is reflected in the way we treat our mother, the Earth. Intertwining ancient ways with modern times, through ceremony we weave the thread which connects us with our grandmothers and ancestors, the women who have walked this earth before us. As we match our heartbeat to the heartbeat of nature, we find that we are one with the elements, one with the earth.
Sound has been utilized in various cultures for thousands of years as a tool for healing. Whether through the use of mantras as with the Hindis, the Icaros (medicine melodies) of various Indigenous peoples from Central and South America, or Pythagoras’ use of interval and frequency, these various techniques all have the same intention: to move us from a place of imbalance to a place of balance.
